My name is Larry Olson and I am the counselor for grades 6 thru 12. I grew up in Southern Minnesota where I earned my BA from Mankato State University. I received my MA from Boston University while teaching for the Department of Defense in Germany. I was the high school counselor at Wood River High School for 20 years and also built houses for eight years in the Wood River Valley. My hobbies include fishing, golfing, woodworking, farming and spending time with my grandkids.
My primary duties at school are scheduling students, career counseling, academic counseling and college counseling. I strongly encourage parents to come in and meet with their teenagers and me about careers and post secondary education.
